Corporate Citizenship
ChoicePoint Cares
ChoicePoint Cares, our corporate giving program, helps ChoicePoint and our associates make the world a safer place through the positive power of information. From ensuring volunteers who work with children are not convicted criminals to helping locate missing and exploited children, we seek out opportunities to make a difference with our unique technical capabilities and powerful data.
The ChoicePoint Cares mission is to remain a demonstrated leader in social contributions. One of our deepest beliefs is that a corporation must be a positive force in society.
ChoicePoint uses the positive power of information to help society with our unique abilities through technology donations, strategic nonprofit partnerships and volunteerism.
Technology Donations
VolunteerSelect PLUS was created by ChoicePoint as a charitable service to provide qualified nonprofit organizations with affordable access to the most comprehensive public record and proprietary databases available for the screening of volunteers and employees.
Missing Children
ChoicePoint’s volunteer work with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) has led to the recovery of more than 800 children. Two of the most powerful tools in NCMEC’s arsenal are ChoicePoint’s AutoTrackXP and the ADAM broadcast fax program, designed to speed the agency’s missing children alerts to the right places in the shortest time.
Verification Services
ChoicePoint has donated more than $1 million in products and services to the American Red Cross to help reduce fraud and ensure that the people affected by Hurricane Katrina received the assistance they needed as quickly as possible.
Nonprofit Partnerships
Since its inception in 1997, ChoicePoint has embraced its obligation to be a positive force in society through community partnerships at the national and local levels. ChoicePoint Cares takes the lead in forging these vital partnerships.
Volunteerism
ChoicePoint’s deeply ingrained culture (Fun-loving, Open, Committed, Unselfish, Setting the Standard) is a wellspring of volunteerism, community service and charitable contributions for ChoicePoint’s 5,500 associates. The company’s signature fundraiser, the Windward Challenge, has raised more than $450,000 for worthy nonprofit organizations. In 2007, ChoicePoint forged a partnership with the Hands On Network, an umbrella volunteer organization that oversees more than 50,000 community outreach projects.
