Reed Elsevier completed the acquisition of ChoicePoint, and combined it with the LexisNexis Risk Solutions in the fall of 2008. We believe it's a great fit with a great future. The LexisNexis Risk Solutions has historically been one of the fastest growing business units and a key area of strategic focus for Reed Elsevier, reflecting the strong growth in demand for risk solutions. ChoicePoint was an industry leader in providing decision-making analytics to mitigate risk and reduce fraud, particularly in underwriting personal and commercial, P&C, insurance, screening and authentication. In addition, ChoicePoint was a leading provider of online due diligence and identification services to business, government and charitable organizations. In joining forces with the LexisNexis Risk Solutions, ChoicePoint brought highly complementary products and new capabilities.
