VIN Services

VIN Services can be used to identify all Vehicle Information Numbers (VINs) associated with a household or to obtain information pertaining to a particular vehicle. When inquiring about a specific vehicle, insurers can use VIN Services to verify the VIN and perform VIN decoding to obtain detailed data about the registered vehicle including year, make, model and other data when available. In addition, the registered owner's name and address as well as information about other vehicles registered at a household may be reported, depending on state limitations.

  • Identifies all VINs associated with a household through a single inquiry.
  • Vehicle information returned may include year, make, model, registered owner, security systems, retraint systems, anti-lock brake systems, gross vehicle weight and base price, depending on type ordered.
