2008 ChoicePoint Windward Challenge 5K Charity Run/Walk Thursday, September 18, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. RESULTS: Race Results Race Photos WHAT: ChoicePoint Windward Challenge 5K Run/Walk WHEN: Thursday, September 18, 2008; 6:30pm WHERE: ChoicePoint Headquarters 1000 Alderman Drive Alpharetta, GA 30005 WHO: Active people of all ages are welcome! Bring your family, including your dog, for a fun and healthy early evening activity. Last year, more than 550 people participated. This year, we will host post-race family-oriented activities along with the awards ceremony to thank participants for their support. WHY: Over the past eight years, the ChoicePoint Windward Challenge has raised more than $550,000 for various charities, including Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Habitat for Humanity, YWCA of Greater Atlanta, and SafeAmerica Foundation. This year, the goal is to raise $100,000 to benefit Camp Twin Lakes. Camp Twin Lakes serves our community with year-round recreational, therapeutic, and educational programs for children facing serious illnesses and other physical, emotional and life challenges. With its network of partners, Camp Twin Lakes provides life-changing experiences for thousands of children each year at its state-of-the-art, fully accessible facility, located on 500 acres in Rutledge, Georgia, and at other locations throughout the state.
